6th Annual Food and Wine Festival

Ocean Cliff Resort and Hotel, Sardella’s Restaurant, and the Marina Café & Pub, will be hosting the 6th Annual Food & Wine Expo, at Ocean Cliff Resort, located in Newport, RI. There will be numerous purveyors showcasing artisan cheeses, meats, breads, olive oils, and several other food and beverage related goods. Various local and international wine and beer producers will also be exhibiting their products. The date for this exciting event is Thursday, April 10th, 2014 from 6-9PM at Ocean Cliff Resort and Hotel.

Guests who attend the event will be able to taste various wine and beer, sample food, and have the opportunity to interact with the purveyors throughout the event. This is a great opportunity for restaurant owners and managers to create some new ideas for their menus.

In addition, there will be live entertainment provided by The Dick Lupino Quartet, and the Rogers & Middletown High School Bands. All of the proceeds raised at the event will be split evenly, and donated to the music departments at Rogers & Middletown High School. This is a 21 years and older event.

Whiel the busy summer season for the Spring Seasons Inn has ended, we don’t close our doors! The Spring Seasons Inn is open year round and the City by the Sea, Newport, Rhode Island doesn;t close its door either! There is always soething to do in Newport. The end of Spetember offers a Fall Festival while October brings the Octoberfest to the Yatching Center while many restaurants in town offer an Octobefest menu. There is also a Foods Truck festival on wheels that offers food and fun all day. There is so much more to do in Newport so I would suggest that you resreve your stay at The Spring Seasons Inn early and check out the evenyt calendar at www.gonewport.com.

The Tea Room at The Spring Seasons Inn was recently featured in Victoria Magazine, a prestigious magazine that covers decorating, enterprising women, traveling and entertaining. The May/June, 2012 issue has a touring article, entitled Sumer by the Sea and covers historic Newport and things to see and do while spending a relaxing weekend in the City by the Sea! 2012 Early Spring Restaurant Week

Enjoy a three-course prix-fixe menu at many of Newport’s restaurants, from pub style restaurants to our ifner restaurants. Lunch will cost you $16 while dinner is $30. A nice way to try some of the fancier restaurants that you might not normally visit. The Convention and Visitor’s Bureau has a web site set up where you can see the participating restuarnt and view the menus. Please click on Restaurant Week below for more information.

The Little Branch Trio featuring Antoine Drye.

Antoine Drye founder of Fluke jazz nights, will be back to celebrate jazz fest all month long – bringing his own unique style of playing to Newport.   Antoine Drye performs regularly at a number of renowned jazz clubs in New York City and has recently performed at the New Orleans Jazz Festival with The Brian Blade Fellowship.  We are proud fans and supporters of Antoine!

Fluke – Wine, Bar & Kitchen, 41 Bowen’s Wharf, Newport, Entrance on Banister’s Wharf.  Fluke is open 7 nights for dinner at 5pm.  Reservations Recommended.
